Hey everyone!

I was going to post a TR in the ThemeParkReview boards a couple days ago but I really don't feel like takin the time to do so lol. Last Monday, June 16th, I took my first trip to Holiday World and Splashin' Safari. I brought my friend Deandra along and this was her first time going too. Coming from Nashville it didn't take long at all. We left at 10:00am and got to the park at 12:00pm. It funny because the park is in the middle of know where and all we saw was corn fields and old houses. The weather was good and HOT and that worked out great because we did the Splashin Safari too. I was expecting more themeing in the park but I sadly realized that themeing wasn't as good as I though it would be lol. It's very inexpensive, both the admission and food. Speaking of food, it was great! Not the best theme park food I've had but not bad at all.

We did go to Spalshin Safari and that was a great water park! The lines were long during the afternoon time but towards the evening lines got thinner. The Bahari wave pool is the BEST wave pool I've ever been in, with that said I've never been to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon lol. The only bad thing I would have to say about the park is the distance between the attractions. The free sunscreen was a plus too.

Overall I would say that Holiday World is a really good park and I will go back before I start college again in August.

As for the roller coaster, I liked all of them but they are a bit rough. Here's a mini break down of all 3 of them:

Raven - The smallest of the 3 but faster than what I expected it to be. It was a bit rough but out of the 3 this one was the smoothest! lol

Legend - The second tallest and the one that had the most Lats on it! lol I was trying to keep my hands up but I had to bring them down half way through because it hurts when my arms are jerked to the sides lol. I had fun but I the second time I rode it I had to keep the hands down, brace myself, and hold on! lol

Voyage - Tallest, fastest, and best coaster in the park! I loved it but Deandra wasn't liking that one too much lol. Great air time on the second hill and I loved the tunnel after the brake run in the middle! lol I knew it was there from videos on youtube and it still got me. This one still was quite rough and the Lats were strong on this one too but I can deal with that! Sadly I didn't get to ride it again, because someone was to scared to ride it again lol.

I think within the next couple days I'm going to periodically upload pics from the trip. So eventually I'll get everything on here lol.

Great Report E-Tapley.  Holiday World is near the top of my list of parks I MUST visit.  Good to hear the coasters rock and i appreciate the rough edges of an awesome Wood coaster.  I must say, it is a bit of a downer to hear that the park's theming is on the weak end.

But Hey, whatever, still sounds like a good time!  I'll be there for 2009!!

Thanks bro! I think you'll like it! It's pretty much a one day park unless you want to see all of the shows.

Here's a few pics...

This is my friend Deandra and we were on the tram on our way to the front gate.

Of course the Raven, neat little coaster and a good one to start the day on.

This is a little bit of the Legend from inside Splashin' Safari. The Legend actually ride into part of the water park and circles one of the water slides. It's neat standing in line for a water slide and seeing the Legend go floating by every few minutes lol.

The Voyage, the best coaster in the park!!! lol

One last pic of the Voyage going into the last tunnel of the ride.

I have got to point these out! One of the most.... different theme park food I've ever had, Fried Oreos! lol Yes and they were delicious! Yall must try those! lol

And last but not least a couple of the many slides they have in Splashin Safari. You can see the Legend in the background going around the slide's tower.

These are just a few pics from my photo album I have uploaded on the ThrillNetwork Boards. Here's the link to it, if yall want to see the rest of the pics I took... Let me know if the link doesn't work.
