I play it in my free time. Very fun, although I prefer No Limits for coaster creation. _________________ Coastin' East Amusement Park Podcast

I really like RCT3, but RCT 1&2 are easier to just "play" you don't have to worry about rendering lag etc...
As of now, I have RCT1 installed w/both expansion packs on an older computer of mine, and I play it from time to time.
For school, I had to get a laptop, so I bought a Macbook. Great computer, but Windows software can not run on it. hopefully one day Ill get the Mac version of RCT3 and play it again.
but to answer the question, I have played it, it is a great game!

i definitely agree with that, but rct is more fun because you get to manage the whole park _________________

^ Yea if I'm specifically designing a coaster, then I'll use NoLimits. For a theme park.... I go aaaaaaall out in RCT3 lol. I make so many dark rides and heavily themed roller coasters on that game lol. _________________ |

Oh man! RTC is my favorite game hands down! lol.
I agree with Daniel too. When I’m in the mood for designing a nice park layout with simple game play (without the rendering hassles), then I’ll play RTC 1&2. When I’m in the mood for a more immersive experience, I’ll play RTC3. Because of the memory of my machine, I can’t make large parks on RTC3 like I can on RTC 1&2. I also like the expansion packs on RTC2 better. Can’t beat the Art Deco & 50’s rock’n roll theming found in the “Time Twister” pack!
Some imaginary parks I made with Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 were:
Columbia Pictures Palace (inspired by the studio parks)
Feature ride: Apollo 13: The ride (“Houston, we have a problem”) - A B&M dive machine coaster with a space theme. Actually, I’d like to see a real attraction based on this movie but as a motion simulator.
King’s Emporium (inspired by Kings Dominion) includes a crazy replica of the Eiffel Tower in the center of the park.
Feature ride: The Yeti – A mine train ride “inspired” by Expedition Everest. A Mine Train goes up, around and through a mountain in search of the Yeti. I was eventually able to add some fog effects/custom scenery from a fansite.
I know that Shyguy’s World has some has some awesome custom scenery. I was amazed at the custom Disney/ “Main Street” sets there. I just wished that RCT3 was able to integrate custom elements as easily as say the Sims 2 game.
Many times my RTC3 games crashed with custom scenery. It could have been errors on my part with installation and/or my computer’s memory. However, after much frustration, I took out the custom scenery all together and things worked well again.
To take a look at his material go here:

^ Huge custom scenery buff here. Very familiar with shyguy's scenery too. I hate the fact that I can't do more with RCT3 because of the lag. I would be on that game 24/7 if it were less or no lag. _________________ |
