My friends have been on it at WDW. When I go to Disneyland in June, it should be open with soft openings, since Cast Members have been able to ride it all ready out there.
All of them love it. Big improvement over Buzz Lightyear from what I've heard.
Here's a video of the ride through: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_ZCrf6m9OU |

| Sadly I don't think I'll be able to ride it this year... I've seen the POV video on youtube and it looks really good! Lee5, have fun in Disneyland! Do you get some of the same perks at Disneyland since you work at WDW? |

I know we can get into the parks for free. I'll have to check on the discount for food and merchandise though. |

Toy Story Mania is a little overwhelming the first time. There are so many things to shoot, and several different screen, with different games. So you don't have a chance get a good feel for the game. I rode it while they were having a soft opening back in early May. I got on it in about 15 min, got back in line and it shut down before I could ride it again.
It is a great ride, the 3D is amazing, the game play is great, but it will take a few times to get good. |

I think it's an okay ride. If you like the Zelda game on the Wii, it's basically the same thing except there are some Toy Story characters there.
I don't think it's worth the money they put into it though. I think Men in Black is the best of those types of rides category, but that ride costs a fortune too. |

i have to agree with you zipper. its a fun ride but you look at the amount of money they put into it and i think they could have made it better maybe more like men in black (which i havent been on so im not quite sure what im talking about) but yea _________________

Just got a new annual pass yesterday and got the chance to ride it. First of all, the line said 25 minutes, but that line moved people so fast. Applause to the operation cast members. But I have to say that this ride is just one word...FUN! Yes it is not the thrilling ride, but I had such a blast shooting the targets, spinning around in the cars, and getting the effect of the 3D screens. And...Mr.Potato head was an outstanding animatronic. That figure moved with such fluidity that it surprised me so much.
Go and ride this ride. It is just pure fun. I have to say that I like this more than Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters. Especially for my first time, I got over 141,000 points. Now I know exactly where to shoot.
