Got my tix for West Coast Bash - it'll be my first coaster meet after 4 decades of following the SoCal parks. What a crazy deal! $30 for ERT, rides, 2 meals, parking, tours and speakers. I'm really looking forward to ERT on Tatsu and X2, and hopefully a nice helping of Goliath.
Doug, what do you know about Cedar Pt and that park's coaster event? During the most recent podcast, the RideWorld guys mentioned that RW is one of the affiliated coaster clubs. I've been considering a trip out there for years. Does the place really have the chops to be a national draw a la Disneyworld? When's the best time for the line-averse to go? Thanks!

^ Pal, great to hear you'll be at West Coast Bash, it'll be my first coaster meet... Ever!
Here's the link to the Coastermania Event in Cedar Point - http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/news/coastermania/
Cedar Point is an amazing park and I personally believe it's worth the time and money. Now it's not Disney World... (of course nothing is ), but if you love coasters there is nothing better than the Point. We won't be there this year, but we will most likely attend the event for 2010. As for best time to go... I'm not really sure. I remember the park always being packed so my suggestions would be no weekends, make sure you go to the park for 2 maybe 3 days (if you want to do everything) and don't go in July.
Of course, again, I'm not the most experienced person when it comes to Cedar Point. Anyone on the boards have tips or suggestions for PAL?

Hope it helps - see you in March!
