Great show so far (I'm listening to the Midway Mania audio as I post this).
I completely agree with you guys on Silver Bullet. It is amazing. I really don't understand why most enthusiasts don't like it. I've heard some people say that it is force less and boring, but I thought it was really forceful, especially in the final helix. The ride goes by pretty quick, but there is a lot packed into that layout.
Sierra Sidewinder is a lot of fun. The layout is pretty cool, I like how there are faster parts and slower parts to it. Montezooma's Revenge is awesome too. I liked the whole experience of just having lap bars.
It is cool having the audio from Halloween Haunt. Thanks for getting that for is Doug. I can't wait to here from Knott's Berry Farm next week.
EDIT: I am 100% fine with long episodes, especially when there is a reason for them to be long. I have a lot of time to listen to podcasts .

Mystery Lodge/Spirit LodgeJust to remind you that everything ultimately connects with world's fairs, it seems, the Mystery Lodge at Knott's Berry Farm started it's life out as the General Motors Pavilion at Expo 86 in Vancouver. There, it was called the Spirit Lodge.
I remember the GM Pavilion also featured a car of the future, the 1995 QUESTAR... which had an on-board navigation system... that consisted of a bunch of cassette tapes.. one for each city you might visit. How convenient would that have been!

RC- Thanx for the feedback on the length... I agree, if there is a reason for the length - "I can't cut it back!" I believe the show will suffer.
RC is a RePubMan! Right On Bro! But Dude... I was trying to send you to Hawaii; way better than Alaska!!! (anyone from Alaska reading this sorry... I'm sure Alaska is cool... ha, get it COOL!... Nevermind. ) I don't really consider myself left or right, I just have fun with the whole notion behind politics.

Yeah, I'm one of the very few Republicans in California. I would love to be sent to Hawaii just for being a Republican, but if I have to row myself there I know I could find Alaska, I'm not so sure about Hawaii!
I'm loving the fact the Season Pass community keeps growing! We starting to get more discussion here on the boards .

Isn't that also known as an Alaskan cruise? I thought those were supposed to be some of the most spectacular cruises out there!!! If that's what they do with Republicans, then I'm a member of the wrong political party!! LOL, mine just gives me free health care!
Anyway.......
I thought the podcast was really really good, but i did break it up into 2 nights, listened to the second half while i was doing homework tonight. i thought it was pretty great how you took a 6 hour night of horror and condensed it down into 38 minutes. That's pretty amazing.
Also, I did just want to point out to anyone, again, as a parent myself, if you are going to take a trip out to the haunt, leave the kids at home.....and if you have older kids who go to the haunt with you and you don't want them exposed to graphic sexual innuendo , don't let them go to the shows! They are laden with it. Hysterical, but definitely not for the teenager!

Sorry to resurrect such an old thread, but I have to congratulate the Season Pass on an amazing episode. I am a huge Halloween enthusiast (I even run a home haunt :p) and this episode was outstanding. Doug, great job in capturing that crystal clear audio.
Sounds like you guys had a lot of fun! Thanks for sharing!

Coast - Thank you bringing this thread back up (Memories Bro!). We had a blast at Knott's Halloween Haunt and this is one of my favorite episodes (even though it's frickin long!). Great to hear you run a home haunt... we used to do that about 10 years ago and man, was it fun.
Take Care!
