Wow! Thanks so much for the awesome episode, Doug! This was a real treat for Halloween!

I also really enjoyed Nick's podcast as I have always wanted to attend HHN at Universal. I can never hear enough about the event. Nick is also alot of fun. Great job, guys!

Tremendous show. I would call these shows your epic or mega shows.  Love hearing all the reviews for Halloween events and I glad that Ghost Galaxy is a hit. I hope it makes it way to the Magic Kingdom. I do have a question about the Blackstone purchase of Busch Parks, I would like to hear the whole Season Pass thoughts about the deal and what can be excepted from this. Great to have Nicks own segment on the Season Pass with good guest like Pat. It’s a double shot of SP, wow. Keep it up.

I did get a chance to go to Halloween Horror nights at Universal and had a good time. I manager to see some construction of Harry Potter land and took some photos. I think it coming in great, but I don’t see it as a big theme park within a theme park, it more like  Marvel land or others there. I got a chance to ride a virtual Space Mountain and found a cool cast member that love coaster and the TTA. Awesome.

I also did Hollywood Rip Rocket and my verdict is nay. It’s a neat idea but a meh experiences. My biggest problem is that the cart shakes too much. It’s not a smooth ride most of the time. While it’s reported that the ride does get smooth I didn’t find it at all during my time with the coaster. I did manger to do the hack song and it work. You need to know what your number song is but it’s cool to have more choices. Universal is still testing it out so they are not giving up on it and the moving platform is still not running yet, but I wonder how that’s going to work and make things go faster though. I think I understand why Vekoma get the rep of mediocre.
The one thing I found strange was there was DC merchandise at Universal T2 store. Makes me wonder if Universal is setting up a replacement of Marvel land. I sang of pic and I post them if anyones interesting in them.

Thanks as always MarkE.  Glad you've been digging the last couple of shows.  These two episodes (100,101) have been pretty extreme on the production side, so it makes it worth the stress when we get great feedback.

We're completely stoked about Blackstone's purchase of the Busch Parks, so there will be plenty of BEC talk in the near future.  In fact, IAAPA might be a good place for us to get some more info on the future of BEC. Wink

Thank you for the kind words everyone.

I am happy blackstone own Busch parks now.  I think with Universal and Merlin, they know how to spread the money around and - with Busch's passion for beautiful parks and design, and Blackstone's managerial skills - I think it's a strong partnership.  I wish, though, Busch parks were under Merlin's ever growing powerful wing. But - hey ho!

Thanks for the kind words about my new section.

I feel a bit behind on shows, so I only just finished the Halloween episode. Another nice job. With that out of the way, for anyone considering a Disneyland trip in January and February, there is a trade-off to the smaller crowds. That's rehab time, there's usually something major (or two) down.
Doug_Barnes

^I agree.  January and February is the only time to visit Disneyland now.  The rest of the year is peak season.

We might head back down for a weekend in Jan or Feb.
