Loved the WigSphere mention!!

About the Expedition Everest Yeti, I really don't think it has to do with what time of year it is, but rather if they can get the thing to work.  I been three times so far this year (and a fourth at the end of the month) in January and May the Yeti worked perfect, on my last trip in July it was in B show mode.

I wish you good 'Yeti Luck' on your trip.

Yea, the Yeti is on a permanent B mode. Apparently it's just a pain to maintain.

You better believe when anyone high up in the Disney Corporation is at Animal Kingdom, the Yeti is working perfectly fine, as it was for the 10th Anniversary. And then immediately brought back to B mode when everyone left.

It's a shame, especially since when they actually want to power him up, it really is an amazing thing.
dougscoastergirl

what is B show mode?
Wylder

The Yeti is stationary, and has a stobe flashing on it as you go by.
R.C.

That is a pretty lame mode, compared to what I've heard the yeti is like in the full mode...

Great guest on this show. I had never heard a whole lot about the World's Fairs and how they worked. I did know that some of the Disneyland rides came from World's Fairs. I'm looking forward to hearing more about them when Urso comes back on!
Wylder

Great show.

I hadn't heard anything about World's Fairs in quite some time.  I was at the 1982 World's Fair in Knoxville.  I was only 10, but remember it being amazing to me.
We spent a week in Knoxville, I remember the Sunsphere, The Rubix Cube being very big in Hungary, and getting a Heinz pickle pin from someone.
I didn't even realize they still held them though.
It is great that there is someone like Urso to kepp track of this event so far removed from the states.

Wylder... That's amazing!  I'm geekin' out on the fact you were at the Knoxville World's Fair.  I am wishing for the time I finally get to check out the Big Time Fair (hopefully... wink wink, 2010). Wink
