Hey guys,

Golden Ticket Awards: I don't take them to serious anymore because there is definitely a bias to some parks and attractions. I think the last episode on In The Loop, they made some good points on how messed up the voting for GTA is. Not to say that some of the winners didn't deserve what they won. The Haunted Mansion is terrible and it definitely shouldn't be in the tops. It's there because it's old and they feel like they need to give it some attention lol. I think the GTA needs to differentiate themed parks/attractions and amusement parks/attractions, then have an overall best attractions/parks. What do yall think about the winners?

When my wife first read your response, she thought you meant the Haunted Mansion in Disney lol.

To tell the truth, outside of OHIO, TEXAS, NEVADA, and CAL, I haven't bee to these other parks... so my opinion as of now is kind of meaningless.  I don't believe Magnum XL is a #7 coaster and I prefer Disneyland and Universal over Cedar Point, but again, not the most experienced enthusiast.  Rolling Eyes

lol oh no not Disney's!

Yea I think it's time for Magnum XL to come off of the list. Although I haven't rode it, I hear all the time that it's rough.

I was also kinda surprised to see Knoebels as number 1 for their food. I've never heard anything about their food. I was expecting to see Dollywood as number one and possibly Knotts somewhere in the ranks, because I hear good things about their food.

Friendliest Park Staff I think should've gone to Dollywood too lol (I love Dollywood so I'm kinda bias to Dolly's stuff). I like Holiday World but the staff is nothing more than a lot of under paid kids who don't want to be there... very noticeable.

LOL, yeah, i was ready to go postal on you but after considering it carefully i realized that I hadn't listened to the show yet and it was probably out of context somewhat......and then later on when i was talking about it with doug--who of course made merciless fun of me, jerk--i was so glad that I hadn't railed on you!! LOL LOL

I have heard that Dollywood has some of the best customer service in the industry, i suppose when it comes from the owner down, that makes all the difference. Plus, because it's not a chain per se, more of a "home town" feel, that definitely makes a difference.

LOL! It's fine! i could see where the misunderstanding could come from.

I see what your talking about with the "home town" feeling making a difference, because the last time I was there I think I saw that lady (I think it's Pat? lol) working in the pizza place.
