I heard you guys were talking about Showbiz Pizza. The bands name was the Rock-Afire Explosion. The names of the characters are:
Fatz- Gorilla
Billy Bob - Brown Bear
Looney Bird - the Bird
Beach Bear - White Bear (Polar)
Duke LaRue - Dog
Mitzi - the cheerleader mouse
Rolfe DeWolfe - the Wolf &
Earl - the puppet
The guy that created the animatronics was Aaron Fechter. He also did the voice for Billy Bob, and I think he did Rolfe too.
They aren't around as much as they used to be (of course).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPSeMNdKEZM
They more recently created small versions of them. The one time I have seen it, it's really not perfect. In other words, it breaks easily.

More recently, programmers who actually own the bigger Rock Afire animatronics have been making them sing newer music. The one site that showed these animatronics singing newer music is now being remodeled. http://www.programblue.com/list.php
A new song they had on their was Before He Cheats by Carrie Underwood, and Mitzi the cheerleader would sing it.
Some of those newer Chuck E Cheeses only have the Chuck E. character himself. I think he's really annoying compared to Showbiz. For Chuck E. Cheeses though, I do like the purple guy Munch, and the dog Jasper though.
The reason for Chuck E. Cheese, and no Showbiz is because they both combined together. They dumped the Showbiz animatronics, and kept Chuck E. Cheese. I think at the time Chuck E. Cheeses were down south, and they probably had more of them so they kept them instead of Showbiz. I think another reason to keep Chuck E. Cheese rather than Showbiz is because of the amount of animatronics. Chuck E. Cheese has 5, and Showbiz has 8 plus the moon, and sun. They also had a bear that pops up, and a spider that came down, but that was hardly ever. I think birthdays he came down.

ZipperRules... You are awesome! This is great, I'll make sure that both Brent and Martin check out your post.
ShowBiz Pizza is one of my favorite childhood memories; I always preferred it over Chuck E. Cheese... It was an amazing spectacle for a child. Don't get me wrong though, I loved Chuck E. as well (just not as much).

Here's just a video of Rolphe (wolf) and Earl (puppet). I don't think the other videos showed him:

Below link is from Chuck E. Cheese, but do you notice anything similar?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0D2ltEUsuIY
Well, there is the moon from Showbiz (at 2:39), 3 curtains from Showbiz, the drum from Showbiz, piano, and the guitar (the dog). This must have been a former Showbiz location.
Also, the pizza cam near Pasqually (the cook), is in a barrel. It's probably Looney birds barrel.

When you guys were talking about the lazy river/dark ride, one came to mind that I saw on the travel channel a while back.
http://www.waterworldcolorado.com/pages/voyage2.html
Check it out, its called Voyage To The Center Of The Earth at Waterworld in Colorado. Looks pretty neat, especially for a water park.
I gotta agree with Martins positive review of Kim Possible & Idol. Kim Possible (I did the Norway 'mission') and found it to be a very neat use of technology. I think it does a great job of giving kids something fun to do while in World Showcase at EPCOT.
I did like American Idol Experiance, and I fully expected to as a big American Idol & Disney fan. My parents who are casual fans of the show really enjoyed it. My brother who hates both American Idol & shows at theme parks was not amused.

What is the American Idol Experience? Is it like what they did with Who Wants to be a Millionaire? I mean, i don't really want to hear a bunch of people at DW thinking they can sing when they cant. I'm not super enthused about taking up what precious time I would have at DW to do this attraction.

Its very similar to what they did with Millionaire. Each show has 3 contestants that sing, the audience votes, the winner goes on to the finale show. The finale show at the end of the night the winners of the 7 earlier shows sing against each other and the winner gets a 'dream fastpass' to the front of the line to a real american idol audition.
Just about all the singers that make it to the stage are relatively talented, as they have to go through a few different auditions to get on.

Well, that's pretty cool, I guess. But I've made it no secret that I'm not a huge show goer, so if it were up to me I'd probably pass on it to do other things. I don't particularly watch the show anymore (too busy, but I did watch last season), except what my mom makes me watch after she has screened out the bad ones. However, since I'm married to Doug, I'm sure I will see it anyway! LOL But, if you are into the show and can sing reasonably well, that's a pretty cool prize, and the fact that it continues throughout the day, not just for one 30 minute experience.
Umm, what do they with it when the final season of AI finally comes along?
