Fun!

Once again, it was really fun being on the show!

Here are some other links related to our conversation:

First What the hell is that mascot from Germany World's Fair.
It reminds me a little of an artist's style from Miami name Romero Britto.

Also why is there no celebrity support or participation for the World's Fair on the US side. There  must be some celebrity movie star, sports, tv, etc that has some interest in the World's Fair.  They are some out there with political views and ideals that they would find this as a great opportunity to present themselves at the worlds fair for the US. I mean there are film makers causes, environmental, education, why not for the worlds fair support.

I would like to see the worlds fair come back to the US. The only time I see any talk about the worlds fair on TV is on the Simpsons where Bart drives to TN,

I also remember an old 80's show called "Gimme a Break" with Neil Carter  and Joey Lawrence goes to the world's fair in New Orleans. But that as much as I ever heard about the worlds fair in the US on TV.

They should really make a movie or TV show based or around the world's fair. Not a reference piece like in the Men in Black movies, but a current one base on Today's world's fair. I think if they see this on big or small screen in might bring interest back to the worlds fair for an US audience.
They should remake that Elvis movie where Kurt Russell kicks Elvis in the sheen. "It happend at the World's Fair" just base it on the current World's Fair happening today.

Does anybody remember a thing MTV News did about the World's Fair in Spain where they talk about a ride base on Peter Gabreil "Kiss that Frog".  It was a motion ride, but base on the music video. I thought that was strange that a ride was being made from music video rather themes of the future or the world. I think this was the first time a ride base on music was done.

Makes me wonder what you have to be on if you ride this ride.

I was hands down one of those who didn't know much about the World's Fair, for I didn't even realize it was still around. I had been wondering if it was still around, but you only ever hear about the old ones with Walt Disney where some new thing was introduced to the world. Great episode Very Happy

Haha, I'm with the guy that always thinks of the simpsons and the 'wigsphere' everytime knoxville is brought up.

Doug,

Next time you get Urso on the show could you guys dive into what exactly a worlds fair is for those of us that have never been.

Like what would a visit to a world fair consist of?
Is it one day thing or multiple days?
Is it one admission price or per exhibit?
What kind of stuff the really cool pavillions have had lately?

That kind of stuff, cause while I know plenty about parks, I know little of worlds fairs just what I've heard on past episodes on season pass.

Absolutely! That is a great idea.  We'll make sure to get into the details of attending the World's Fair the near future.

Thanx for the suggestion Pat!
