Great Podcast!

I don't know how you guys do it, but that was another great podcast. What a fascinating conversation. Epcot is, not surprisingly, one of my favorite places on the planet and I've always been curious about the logistics in creating the United States exhibit there.

I'm looking forward to next week's installment.... then I'm off on a meandering Mid-West trip that includes seeing everyone at Holiday World!

Incredible show, a good example of why this is show is great

This is why I love the podcast. To hear these stories about how these show and rides came to be is incredible. I admit that we take so much of these attractions for granted that the forces it takes to make these is surprising. By far, the shocking thing to hear was that the submarine is a manual control effect. I mean WOW. How's that to have old school tech with the last and greatest just goes to show how creative people have to be when building these rides and shows.  I hope I get a chance to ride the sub's at Disneyland, I hear the line wait time is atrocious.

I'm so sad to hear about 20,000 Leagues ride. When I went back to Disney world last Xmas I couldn't believe it was gone. I later found out the history of why the ride wasn't there, but I has heartbroken. I hope the ride will come back with talk about a remake or reboot of the movie. If that is a big success I really hope the ride comes back.

Now I know that the ride is still out there in Japan. Tokyo Disney Sea still has a 20,000 league ride. I glad that it still around I hope I can get a chance to go to Disney Tokyo. Heck, I want to go to Japan period. It's a cool place to visit.

^Thanx for the kind words guys!  Stingray, again, great selection of pics and vids. Rick actually was the show producer and director for 20,000 Leagues in Tokyo.  Unfortunately, we weren't able to discuss the attraction, but we'll have him back soon to discuss that attraction as well as many (many, many, many) others that he worked on.
