Looks like the end is near.I had hopes that I would be able to see the Hard Rock Park one day. I guess it just wasn't meant to be.

Yeah... this is unfortunate. Hey can someone move Hard Rock Park to Sacramento?

^That would be so awesome! Having Hard Rock Park in Sacramento would be such an amazing thing.
I do wish that I had been able to go to Hard Rock Park, but honestly I would rather go to Florida... It will be interesting to see where the rides end up going.

^ Yea that's what I'm most interested in, seeing where the rides are gonna end up.
It is unfortunate but hopefully something will out of the blue will happen so there could be a better chance at it reopening.

so does anyone have any clues or guesses on who's gonna pick up what rides and where they're gonna put them?

My main focus is of course Led Zeppelin. I'm not to informed on parks on the west so I'll rule out all of them. I don't think SF or CF parks will get it. The layout of the coaster isn't special or different so I would rule out any of the major FL parks buying it. That leaves regional parks like DW, HW, Hershey, and BB. With that in mind I see HW or Hershey buying it...
Is it safe to say that Nights In White Satin will be scrapped? For it to be the same as it was at HRP, then they would have to buy the rights to Nights In White Satin wouldn't they? And I don't see any other parks doing that.... not to mention that theme fitting into any other park lol.

Hard Rock Park had a long and storied history. For anyone who wanted to see how it all began, Science Channel is running a special Friday Jan. 9 at 8pm eastern, all about the construction of the park. I already have my DVR set to record.

yea unfortunately i'm pretty sure that nights in white satin is gonna be scrapped because cedar fair and six flags aren't too interested in dark rides and disney is not gonna go near a ride that simulates drug use. i also don't really see anyone picking up led zeppelin because without the theming that's not that special of a coaster and (i might be mistaken) i'm pretty sure you would have to pay for the rights or whatever to that every year and i doubt six flags is looking to have to pay more money each year and cedar fair seems to have their hands full handling all the new paramount parks that they just acquired. i don't think holiday world would take it because it doesn't really fit in with the theming and Hershey park just added fahrenheit and arent they doing some extension to the water park as well.

Yea, that's what I meant buy HW or Hershey buying it. I figured who ever buys Led Zeppelin, won't buy the themeing since they would have to pay for the rights.

No, dude, Hershey has absolutely no room for a coaster like that.
Why else do you think they've had to tear down rides the past two years to put in new ones? (Fahrenheit, Boardwalk)
Unless they buy out the outlets next door, like it's been rumored for years, and expand out. I'd love to see it, but no.
Holiday World, maybe. I can see a CF park buying it like Valleyfair!, but that park has a rumored B&M mega for 2010.
I don't think we'll see the Moody Blues ride anywhere. What park wants a ride based off of being high on illegal drugs? Maybe Six Flags America???......
