Mousefest 2009I was listening to the latest epidsode, episode 527, of WDW Today and they had Deb Wills, member of the executive committee for the Mousefest organization, come on and discuss Mousefest plans for 2009. It seems after weeks of discussion within the executive committee, Mousefest 2009 is being put on hiatus. Basically they feel like they can't deliver the same quality event that they've delivered the past few years at this time. There's a press release posted on mousefest.org: http://www.mousefest.org/I've never been to Mousefest but I hear it's really good and I considered going in 2009 but if they completely call it off, I and everyone else who wants to go will have to wait till next year... I am completely bummed out by this. I went to MouseFest for the first time in 2008 and it was a great time. I got to meet all the big disney podcasters I been listening to for years and made many new friends that share the same passion for the disney parks that I do.

When I heard this on WDW Today, the first person I thought of was you lol. No joke, because I remember you were so excited about going for your first time in 08 and you had a blast it sounded like. So I know you were bummed. Hopefully they will change they're minds though. | ||

As flattering as that is, its not something I would be able to do at this point. For two reasons, Its a 'disney fan gathering' and my area of expertise is really in more of the general all roller coasters & theme parks. Second, I'm moving across the country at the end of March, so most of my free time is being spent thinking/planning that. In the event that someone steps up to run the event or some sort of 'Unofficial MouseFest' developes that weekend, I would love to be involved in some area, like hosting my own meet during one of the days. |
