S&S Eagle Coaster to Open in 2009Who remembers that S&S coaster concept called the Eagle Coaster that you thought no park wouold build?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmcBseyNOdU Well, Skara Sommarland in Sweden is actually building one for 2009. The coaster will be called Tranan, and it will be over 65ft tall, 1640ft long, and have a top speed of near 25mph. Hmmm, neat concept! I like it! I probably wouldn't wait in line for more than an hour for it though lol. I like the way it looks and seems like a good family ride... something that Dollywood would have. |

The ride has an interesting design, but if the video is a true representation of the ride, then it will have a fairly low ride capacity. I can't see any major US parks putting this thing in. That said, I would love to take a ride on that thing. |

Wow... that does look more intense than the animation. After watching that video I like the concept more. Now the next thought in mind is how durable is it? Is it going to crack under pressure like X after it was running for awhile? |

That looks fun and I would ride.... I don't think I'd wait 90 min in line for it lol.
From the video, it sounds real noisy. I hope that gets fixed. For the first model, I think the layout is neat. Hopefully the next one will be a longer. |
