Watchmenanyone see it
i saw it and thought it was great
i thought it was definitely the best "book-to-movie" translation that's ever been done
i also thought it was one of the best super hero movies ive ever seen. the only super hero movie ive seen that i thought was better was dark knight.
curious to hear your guy's opinions

Great to hear. I am a big fan of the Graphic Novel, so I 'm very interested in the movie. I have to admit though, I'm surprised they were able to portray the story in less than 3 hours and that it "officially" is a rated R film. I always thought it would almost be impossible to recreate the story for the screen with anything less than a NC-17 rating... it's an extremely brutal story-but good!
Hopefully, the film is somewhat like the comic.

many of the very important scenes are almost word-for-word from the comic
so i really think you'll enjoy it

Saturday night I went to see the Watchmen. I have never read the graphic novel.
I thought the movie looked great. It was a good movie, but from the trailers, I was expecting more action. I love the mixing of the past stories with the present Watchmen, but could have done with less 'male frontal nudity'. I saw the movie on an Imax screen and it is an unfair comparison to have Dr. Manhatten's wang hanging down on a 3 story screen.
I liked the alternate universe that they created. It followed our history with just enough twist to make it interesting. One last tip, the movie is 2:30 long, use the bathroom before you go in.
