I woke up this morning to check Screamscape.com and saw that Xcelerator had a broken cable back on Wednesday and had injured a few riders. There is a video link that was taken on those on-ride cameras and it's pretty crazy to watch. You'll see a father and son sitting in the front row and just as the launch and are about to go up the hill, you see a spray of debris and I guess the son had some gotten some sort of leg injury.

Hopefully, Doug and Brent, you can talk about this. I do live really close to KBF, and it is scary to see a ride like that go down.

Yeah, I saw this video when it posted last week. Very uncomfortable to watch.

I don't know if Mike and EB will talk about it on the Season Pass... but Doug and Brent might. Wink

It's bad place to be. See someone you can't help, but so close at the same time is horrible. I being see a lot of talk about Intamin having a bad record in safety on their rides. Is there any truth to this? Also remember the CN real show Brain Rush. That was film at Knotts, I wonder if that show continues if they will still use Xcelerator for their end of the show.
I have to stay that seat popping up in that video almost had me holding my chair. I hope he doesn't get anything serious from that.

Wow I saw this story on Screamscape but didnt bother to read it. This is so messed up and the video was a little disturbing. I've heard and read different things about the boy's leg. I hear it completely cut his leg off, minor cuts, and nothing at all. So what is the official word?

I believe what the news report said was that the boy receive a laceration on his leg and the man complained of back pain. But they said that was it. Hopefully that is all that happened. It is such a scary thing to think about.

And still, the fact that it was caught on video still amazes me. Just such a horrifying thing to watch.

Oh ok, thanks for clearing that up for me. Its unfortunate this happened, hopefully everything will be ok with those two.
