What's up everyone,

I went to King's Island for the first time yesterday and overall I enjoyed myself. It's not exactly what I expected it to be but I wasn't disappointed. It was sooo hot that day and it was like that the whole day. I was expecting boarder line theme park, but throughout the day I felt like I was at Six Flags. The themeing was everywhere sort of like Six Flags. Staff was ok but a few looked like they did not want to be there. I ate the chicken tenders from the Nick Universe area and they were ok. I had the best frozen lemonade I've ever had in my life! lol All the rides that I know of were running. I rode the Crypt and loved it! That was my first Top Spin and ironically that was my favorite ride out the park lol. There will be another trip to King's Island next summer because I want to see what this new coaster will look like. I saw the construction and I'm really anxious to see how there going to go over the path.

The coasters were good. I didn't gain a new favorite coaster like I thought I would. There was a good variety of different types though and I rode my first suspended and flying coaster. Here's a break down of what I thought of each coaster I rode...

Adventure Express: No wait time. Cool family coaster and it was a little faster than expected. It wasn't exactly smooth but a lot of coaster that are similar to it aren't smooth either. The last lift hill was the best!... and then we went into the break run! I was let down! lol I thought something out of this world was going to happen.

Backlot Stunt Coaster: Line started in the first row of the shaded area on the side of the first helix. I thought this one was going to be more thrilling than what it really was. The most intense part was the "Parking Garage" helix. The themeing was good but I really didn't get much of the story that goes with it.

The Beast: Line wasn't bad about a 10 min wait. Good but not as fun as I thought it would be. It was rough and the coaster had some obvious signs of aging lol. I like it overall but it's not in the top ten of my coasters

Firehawk: Line was horrible and hot! The line isn't completely shaded with the canopies, which didn't make sense to me. The fans did cool us off a little bit though. It was about a 1hr 15min wait. Overall it was worth the wait because it was my first flying coaster and I really enjoyed it. Totally different feeling.

Flight Deck: Walk on. I rode in the front and overall thought it was good. Short and I could feel the train slowing and speeding up because of the forces from swinging. I thought I was going to like this one the most but... no lol

Flight of Fear: About a 25 min wait. The queue was neat and a great escape from the heat. Great ride and probably the one I enjoyed the most. I think I would've liked it without the lights though.

Invertigo: About a 25 min wait. Boomerang coasters normally make me dizzy and this one was not an exception. As I was walking out the exit I walked into the fences about 3 times lol. So that pretty much made me not like that ride lol.

Racer: Walk on. I rode the blue one and I was so disappointed that they ran an empty red train that didn't even race with us. The red one was going down the first drop as we reached the lift hill. Neat little coaster lol

Son of Beast: About a 45 min wait and the sun was pretty hot lol. Very fast and tall, but also extremely painful! I don't think I've ever felt to unconfortable on a roller coaster. The first helix was the worst and I slobbed so much on that part! lol I couldn't help it and we were going so fast that it just dried up like it never happened lol. Very rough ride but I'm glad I was able to add that to my list of rides.

Vortex: About a 40 min wait and it was great that they were running all 3 trains. Rough but I wasn't surprised. It felt like it was designed with RCT3, because it felt so sectioned just like the game. It was a good ride though.

I'm getting sleepy so I'll rap this up lol.

Glad to hear you had a good time.

Sorry you won't be joining the Beast fan club.  I love the final helix, that goes through the building.  Every time it feels live we are going to fly off the tracks.  I guess I just have a taste for classic wood.

Sorry to hear SOB is still brutal, I was limping the last time I got off that monster.  I was hoping the removal of the loop and the lighter cars would make it better.  Thanks for checking, I will know to skip it next year. Smile

Kings Island is no Disney but it has a charming feel to it I have always liked.  I haven't been there since Cedar Fair took it over, I hope I still get the same feeling next time I go back.

I will be at Cedar Point on Wednesday, I hope I will be able to a Maverick to my list of favorite coasters.

Thanks man!

While the Beast was rough the final helix probably was the most fun part of the ride, but I wanted something else after that instead of the brake run lol. I think I'm more of the new generation woodies.

LOL yes I had to grap my heart after the Son. I'm mad that I didn't get to experience the loop.

I never got to see how it was before Cedar Fair. Isn't this the first year of the park being owned by Cedar Fair?

So how was Cedar Point?!?!?! I hope you had a good time!

Has a great time.  It hailed for a little bit, but ended up being a beautiful day.

Maverick was a great ride, but it did not replace Millenium Force as my favorite all around rollercoaster.

I was able to ride 7 of their rollercoasters, ate lots of french fries and had a great time.  Hope you get a chance to get to CP before too long.
