Once again, awesome awesome show! Thanks Doug, Chance & Nick for this very cool episode! It's always cool to hear of experiences at the parks and I get charged up when I hear or read of Chance's experience in the forums. Chance, you are the man!
In terms of attractions, I can relate to Nick alot! I love an attraction with a good story, detail and theming behind it. I guess it comes from my love of animation/storytelling. I like a good setup and immersion in an attraction. I'm the type of guy who gets sick on an airplane...so Like Brent, I'll ride a coaster...but only after much pressure and maybe a couple of drinks! For Chance to ride coasters that many times in a row is really cool!
As for me, I'll stick with the thrill factor level of Big Thunder Mountain. LOL! It's always cool to hear about Busch. I'll definitely miss Big Bad Wolf. But I'm looking forward to what they may put there next. Hmmmm...Spain? (Fingers crossed!) |

Thanx for the feedback MarkE! I too am a huge fan of themed experience, but man, it's always cool to hear an intensive coaster experience from someone else; simply because I'll never get the chance... haha... CHANCE... get it?... no... bad joke?
Anyway (change the subject) BUSCH GARDENS! I think there is some good news coming through the wind soon. My understanding is that Blackstone and InBev are in the final stages of a complete Blackstone buyout of the Busch Entertainment Group. My fingers are crossed as well my friend. _________________ Doug Barnes

Whoa Chance, I thought you were kidding about sleeping in your car. I would have tried to rent a RV. My family used to travel in a mini RV and I found that a fun experience. I wonder where do you park that they allow you to stay overnight? Anyway great review, I always wonder about those other parks and it’s great to hear an insight perspective from the ground. It’s cool what you did and I hope your Europe trip comes true. I like to hear how you going to plan and share you experience with us.
Unique show Doug, I like these review report shows. It’s very down to earth. Hey, is there any chance you, Brent, and your colleagues discuss the recent Disney/Marvel deal.
I would like to hear from all insiders how this is going down for the theme parks. Personally I see Superhero Island going away in the future. Maybe we play the speculate game of what coming next. I would like to see that Sci-fi land from Singapore project come here. Have Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek, Last Starfighter or maybe Lord of the Rings area. That’s a hot IP that no ones got yet. Oh well, I miss Spider-Man ride, I just hope Disney won’t turn that ride into a revamp style of Journey to Imagination. NOOOO!
Hey MarkE, I heard that Spain rumor for Busch Gardens goes way back into the 80’s. I hope something big comes out of it. I just hate that Big Bad Wolf has to leave. I hope is not that gift shop that’s been talk about recently. This reminds me of the rumor Six Flags that North Carolina is supposed to get. Well if anybody is going to make down for Wolf last ride I hope you can chime in. I going to try but I just can’t seem to get there for it’s last day. I hear Mike Collins is going to go down there to tweet or something. It’s worth a to check out.
Superb show. It’s nice to hear from Nick again, just not after dark. LOL
P.S. Hey EVEYBODY. Don’t FORGET. Show some LOVE for Doug and the rest of the crew of the Season Pass. 100th is coming it’s been thrill a minute awesome podcast. I be chiming in with my appreciation for the show. I hope everybody else will.
Thanks Doug _________________

Fantastic show guys! Loved every minute of it! You were talking about Hades breaking ribs and I can guarantee that it has happened. No joke, my mom actually broke her rib on it! She even got the X-ray to prove it! That turned me against Mt. Olympus forever. It is by far my least favorite park, even worse than Kentucky Kingdom in my book. Anyway...
Thanks for another great show,! _________________ Coaster Count: 165 |

I would definitely love that discussion too! That would be so cool to hear what you guys think of the Disney deal and I'll add to that the very possible upcoming Blackstone/ Busch park buyout deal.
I agree with you, Stingray. Even though Universal has a perpetual license with Marvel to use it's characters in it's parks east of the Mississippi River, the deal I hear is pretty strict. They have to stick with characters they already have in the park and they, Universal's Islands of Adventure (IOA) may not be able to expand Marvel based attractions beyond what they already have there now. Universal may have to do something after 5 years or that section of IOA probably will just become a "stagnant land" with no new development. Not to mention, where will royalties go to if I purchase a Spidey key chain from the Universal souvenir shop? So I'm guessing maybe...(not in the immediate future), but in the distant future, something might just change there.
I like the Sci-Fi land idea coming to IOA too (adding to that maybe a possible East coast Transformers attraction). |

Yeah, I can just see it now. Chance's Travel Secrets - how to ride coasters for just pennies a day. What a madman. If its worth doing, its worth overdoing! Just about snorted my drink through my nose when Nick brought up the Chance's future honeymoon.
Just a little jealous envy... Way to live life to the fullest. But Chance, don't you worry about over-doing it and killing the thrill? |

Doug - hearing bad puns utilizing my name has become a pretty decent sized chunk of my life, I get them all the time!
Stingray - To rent an RV for 2 months was absurdly expensive and most wouldn't let some 20 years of age rent anyways. I usually stayed in Walmart parking lots where they actually welcome campers. Although, the greatest discovery was that CP actually let me sleep in their parking lot! I was rather excited when I discovered that, to say the least!
Pal - I rode an old John Allen woodie 200 times in one day.... I think it's safe to say that I NEVER get sick of coasters. Although, I honestly wouldn't call them "thrilling" anymore. At this point I simply derive pleasure from them. I also analyze the crap out of them the entire time I'm riding. Always thinking about the use of elements, or banking of turns, or other things that stick out to me. So, while they aren't always thrilling, I will always enjoy riding them. _________________ 71 Days, 43 Parks, 293 Coasters, 1 Epic Summer

I know it's a bit late, but i loved this show. Over the past few summers I've been able to hit a lot of those parks in the midwest and the east coast and experience all those great coasters. I can't wait to get back to Holiday World to ride Voyage again.
