Hey Shannon
There are other women out here. I listen to the podcast every week. Sadly I don't get on the message boards very often. I am still working on balancing being all those things you mentioned in the podcast (wife/mom/ working, ect) and still have time to do other stuff not on the to do list. Just wanted to let you know I am out here.
I think Doug mentioned that you and he were going to try and come to Food & Wine next year at Epcot. The Festival starts every year on or on the weekend of my birthday so I am extending an invite to you both (and the boys if they come along for the trip, my daughter will be there) to join in our celebratio if you are coming around the end of September or if you want some company any of the other weekends of the festival.

Thanks Kerri, we are planning on going out there in October, depending on when the mother-in-law can safely take the time off of work. Doug and I LOVE meeting people when we go on the road to these places so I'll be sure to get the information out when we get our plans more solidified. If it all goes to plan it is going to be a bevy of family going, with both Doug's parents and my parents, brother, sister and our 2 kids, so if you don't mind the entourage! LOL I'm sure Mr. and Mrs. Wylder will be joining us at some point during the trip (at least they better be!!) too.
And, if all goes to plan as well, I will probably/hopefully be hugely fat and pregnant, so I will definitely be up for some company! Doug and I are so looking forward to that trip to share it with our families because we had such a good time there ourselves---especially Epcot!! |

Food & Wine while pregnant is AWESOME!!! Last year all my friends kept asking if we were still going. Even being 9 months pregnant could not keep me away from all that yummy food.
Let us know. |

Can I interrupt the girl talk for just a moment? Coasters and pregnant don't mix! Now Food and Wine... er, Food and More Food, that sounds about right. Coming from a guy's perspective anyway.
I had a chance to ride Superman Ride of Steel at Six Flags Great Adventure on Saturday. This is the coaster Jodi said beats Tatsu. What? Personal opinions and all, but I don't get it. SROS has a baby-sized pretzel loop then lazily swings and sweeps around before finally rolling through a second inversion. It felt like a kiddie coaster. X-2 Jodi, really? And you needed a few pops in the Festhaus to get much out of mellow old Griffon, a 200 ft plus dive coaster? I don't see your point but I still think you're cool. |

^Yeah PAL. I have to get on your side with this one. I love Jodi, I think she is amazing and is 100% devoted to her passion intense rides, however I have some very different opinions on these particular coasters as well. I find Tatsu to be easily one of the greatest rides and even though I have not been on Griffon, I have been on Sheikra and again I believe it's a phenomenal experience. But it's like she said at the end of the podcast- Whatever Makes You Happy!
I find happiness in B&M. _________________ Doug Barnes

It was sooo fun doing the interview! These guys caught me 5 mins after playing a 5 hour German Band Om PAH band gig! We rushed all the way home from Anaheim!! LOL!
Thanks for the kind words! I am working on getting this book in agent's hands this year.
See you in X2's queue line soon!
Jodi
