An explosvie fire engulfed the King Kong attraction and the Back to the Future set Sunday morning June 1st. Brutal. From what I'm hearing there are no deaths outside of my favorite Backlot segments.

Let's play conspiracy theory. A couple days before, a bear was running wild at Universal Orlando. Publicity for both parks...and now they have a good amount of space at Universal Hollywood where they can put in some brand new amazing rides...hmmmmmmmmm.
Harry Potter Land coming to Universal Hollywood now maybe? |

^ lol sounds possible
Especially with this being posted on the web by the LA Times... http://travel.latimes.com/daily-deal-blog/?p=1977 lol
I didn't know that the Kong attraction was in the fire too until today. Thats really sad because I wanted to see that part of the tour! lol
I'm glad that no one got hurt. I'm sure Universal can bounce back from this... we should see good things from them soon. _________________ |

Actually something like 9 firefighters were injured. I guess they said part of the reason the fire was so hard to put out was because there was terrible water pressure and they actually had to draw water from the man made lakes there and run hoses to other hydrants in the park.
I have to admit, I almost had to choke back a sob when I saw the facade of the Clock Tower in flames.....too sad for me. I will be sad now every time I watch Back to the Future!! |

Really?! Thats sad. Wonder what happened. I'll have to look it up and see how they're doing. Well at least there were no lives lost. _________________ |

Now I'm hearing the Clock tower was saved... ("Save the clock tower!..") but the rest of the set is gone.
Now that I'm done sobbing........................... ..................... bring Spiderman! _________________ Doug Barnes
